ইন্নাল হামদালিল্লাহ্! ওয়াস্সালাতু ওয়াস্সালামু ‘আলা রাসূলিল্লাহ্ (সা.)। প্রিয় দ্বীনী ভাই ও বোনেরা, আস্সালামু ’আলাইকুম ওয়া রাহমাতুল্লাহি ওয়া বারাকাতুহু!আল্লাহ্ সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা’য়ালা, যিনি আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের সৃষ্টিকর্তা, আমাদের সকলের জন্য ফরজ বলে নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছেন: জ্ঞান অর্জন করা। যদিও আমাদের সকলেরই কোন না কোন বিষয়ের উপর কিছু জ্ঞান আছে – কিন্তু আল্লাহ্ আমাদের যে জ্ঞানে নিজেদের আলোকিত করার তাগিদ দিয়েছেন, তা প্রধানত হচ্ছে দ্বীনের জ্ঞান: প্রকৃতি ও অন্যান্য সৃষ্টির সাথে সমন্বিত অবস্থায় আমাদের যে অস্ত্বিত্ব – সে সম্বন্ধে জ্ঞান, আমাদের জীবনের লক্ষ্য ও উদ্দেশ্য সম্বন্ধে জ্ঞান এবং সর্বোপরি, সমগ্র সৃষ্টির সৃষ্টিকর্তা – আমাদের প্রভু আল্লাহ্ সুবহানাহু ওয়া তা’য়ালা সম্বন্ধে জ্ঞান! ইংরেজী ভাষাভাষী মুসলিম স্কলাররা ব্যপারটা এভাবে বুঝেছেন: The real knowledge is the knowledge of The Real, or, at least what leads to The Real – rest is just conjecture!
আমাদের এই তথাকথিত ইসলামভূমিতে আমরা ইসলামের বিভিন্ন আনুষ্ঠানিকতা ও আচার-আচরণ শিখে বড় হই – যেমনটা পেশাজীবী মৌলভীরা এদেশে আমাদের শিক্ষা দিয়ে থাকেন, আর সে সব নিয়েই সন্তুষ্ট থাকি। কিন্তু দুঃখজনক হলেও সত্য যে,ইসলাম সম্বন্ধে আমাদের জ্ঞানের প্রায় সবটুকুই ভুলে ভরা বা ত্রুটিযুক্ত। এই ত্রুটিযুক্ত আচার-আচরণ বা বিশ্বাসের অবস্থা এতই করুণ যে, দৈব কোন উপায়ে যদি সপ্তম শতাব্দীর আরবভূমি থেকে প্রথম প্রজন্মের কোন মুসলিমকে আমাদের দশা দেখবার জন্য নিয়ে আসা যেত – তবে তিনি নিশ্চয়ই জিজ্ঞেস করতেন যে, “এসব লোকজন আসলে কোন দ্বীনের অনুসারী?” এ অবস্থা অনুধাবন করলে আপনি ভেবে পাবেন না যে, আপনার কি করা উচিত বা কোথায় যাওয়া উচিত! এটা তখন একটা আভ্যন্তরীণ ও ব্যক্তিগত সংকটে রূপ নেবে।আপনি হয়ত বই কিনতে শুরু করবেন। ‘ইসলাম’ শব্দটি মলাটে অথবা বিষয়বস্তুতে রয়েছে এমন যে কোন বই। এই যাত্রাপথটা হতে পারে সুদীর্ঘ ও আঁকাবাঁকা -যার মাঝে অনেক যাত্রাবিরতির স্থানও থাকবে। দ্বীনের সঠিক জ্ঞানের অন্বেষণে আপনি হয়ত অনেক দরজায় বা খিড়কিতে করাঘাত করবেন। কিন্তু শেষ পর্যন্ত আপনি অনুধাবন করবেন যে, এসব গোষ্ঠী বা দল আপনার কাছে যা উপস্থাপন করে থাকে, তা আসলে বড়জোর জ্ঞানের একটা খন্ডিত চিত্র – আর আপনার কপাল মন্দ হলে তা হয়তো বা নব-উদ্ভাবিত কোন বিচ্যুতি, বিকৃতি বা বিদ’আতও হতে পারে। এছাড়া আপনি যতই চেষ্টা করেন না কেন,এসব আয়োজনে ‘ভিতরের’ ও ‘বাইরের’ লোকের বৈষম্য অথবা ‘আমাদের লোক’ ও ‘বাইরের লোক’ এই দুইয়ের জন্য নির্ধারিত উষ্ণতার তারতম্য কখনোই ভুলতে পারবেন না। ‘তাদের’ কাছ থেকে শিখতে হলে আপনাকে ‘তাদের’ একজন হতে হবে এবং সেক্ষেত্রে, সেই শিক্ষা হবে অনেকটা ‘তাদের’ চোখ দিয়ে পৃথিবী দেখার মত ব্যাপার। এসব দলীয় বা গোষ্ঠীগত আয়োজনে, জ্ঞানশিক্ষার দ্বার সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত নয় -বরং বেশীরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই সেই দ্বারে কেবল নিজ গোষ্ঠী বা দলের সদস্যদেরই স্বাগত জানানো হয়ে থাকে!
অতএব খাঁটি ও নির্ভুল সূত্র থেকে লব্ধ দ্বীনী জ্ঞানের প্রচার ও প্রসারের গুরুত্ব সহজেই অনুমেয়। প্রথমেই আমরা দ্বীন ইসলাম সম্বন্ধে মৌলিক কিছু বিষয় লক্ষ্য করি:
১) আক্বীদার শুদ্ধতার বিচারে, ইসলামের কেবল একটি এবং একটি মাত্র শুদ্ধ রূপই রয়েছে।
২) সৃষ্টিতে কেবল একজন এবং একজনই এমন মানুষ রয়েছেন, যাঁকে মুসলিমরা অন্ধভাবে ও প্রশ্নাতীতভাবে অনুকরণ ও অনুসরণ করতে পারে। আরেকভাবে বলতে গেলে, কেবলমাত্র একজন মানুষকেই আমরা নির্ভুল ও ত্রুটিহীন মনে করতে পারি – যিনি হচ্ছেন রাসূল (সা.)।
৩) ‘আহলে সুন্নাহ্ ওয়া আল জামা’আহ্’ অর্থাৎ সেই একটিমাত্র ‘সমষ্টি’,যেটাকে রাসূল (সা.) একমাত্র সঠিক ও সরল পথের উপর (অর্থাৎ তাঁর পথের উপর বা সুন্নাহর উপর) প্রতিষ্ঠিত বলে বর্ণনা করে, বাকী দলগুলোকে জাহান্নামী বলে আখ্যায়িত করে গেছেন – সেই আহ্লে সুন্নাহ্ ওয়া আল জামা’আহ-কে রাজনৈতিক বা অন্য কোন কারণেই দলে বা উপদলে বিভক্ত করাটা অনুমোদনীয় নয়।
তাই আমাদের অন্যতম লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে,‘স্কলার’ ও মেধাবী ‘দ্বীন শিক্ষার্থীদের’ একটা সমষ্টি গড়ে তোলা – যারা হবেন পৃথিবীর বুকে সম্ভাব্য সবচেয়ে খাঁটি ও নির্ভুল সূত্র থেকে লব্ধ দ্বীনী জ্ঞানে সমৃদ্ধ (যেমন ধরুন মদীনা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বা উম্মুল কুরা থেকে শিক্ষিত) এবং যারা পর্যায়ক্রমে তাদের সেই জ্ঞান আমাদের মত সাধারণ মানুষের মাঝে নিঃশর্তভাবে ছড়িয়ে দেবেন – আমাদের পটভূমি, আর্থ-সামাজিক শ্রেণী ও উৎস নির্বিশেষে! অবশ্য, আমাদের নির্বাচিত ‘স্কলার’ ও মেধাবী ‘দ্বীন শিক্ষার্থীদের’ জীবিকা অর্জনের দৈনিক ৯টা-৫টা কর্ম-চক্রের দাসত্ব থেকে মুক্ত করার চেষ্টা করতে হবে, যাতে তারা দ্বীনের জ্ঞান আহরণ ও বিতরণে পূর্ণ মনোনিবেশ করতে পারেন – আর সেজন্য একটা তহবিল গঠনের প্রয়োজন হবে, যা দ্বারা এসব বাস্তবায়ন সম্ভব হবে।
আমরা বিভিন্ন দলের নেতৃস্থানীয়দের এবং যারা এমনিতে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বা ইসলামের শুভাকাঙ্খী বলে বিবেচিত হন তাদের সাথে কথা বলেছি। এসব প্রস্তাবনায় যদিও কেউ কেউ কখনো নড়ে চড়ে বসেছেন এবং প্রাথমিক ভাবে ‘কিছু একটা করা দরকার’ এমন একটা অভিব্যক্তি প্রকাশ করেছেন – তবু, সেই সব গোষ্ঠী বা দল, যাদের এরকম কর্মকান্ডে সম্পৃক্ত হবার ক্ষমতা, অর্থনৈতিক সামর্থ ও সম্ভাব্যতা আল্লাহ্ দিয়েছিলেন, তারা শেষ পর্যন্ত এসবে তেমন একটা গরজ দেখাননি। খুব সম্ভবত এই কারণে যে, তাদের পর্যাপ্ত জ্ঞান রয়েছে ভেবে তারা একটা আত্মতৃপ্তির মাঝে ছিলেন এবং আরো সম্ভাব্য একটা কারণ এও হতে পারে যে, তারা যদি এমন কোন কাজে আদৌ হাত দেন, তবে তা শুধু নিজেদের দল বা গোষ্ঠীর অন্তর্ভুক্ত লোকদের জন্য নির্ধারিত হবে -যে কোন মুসলিমের জন্য নয়! আর সে জন্যই আজ আপনাদের কাছে আবেদন জানিয়ে এমন ভাবে সব ব্যাখ্যা করতে হচ্ছে।
উপরে বর্ণিত ধারণা ও উপলব্ধির আলোকে আমরা সাপ্তাহিক পাঠচক্রের একটা আয়োজন শুরু করি -যার ফলশ্রুতিতে আজ ঢাকায় এবং চট্টগ্রামে দ্বীন শিক্ষার বেশ কয়েকটি আসর অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে -আলহামদুলিল্লাহ্! এটা ছিল, বলতে পারেন, একধরনের সংগ্রহকরণ প্রক্রিয়া – এমন কিছু দ্বীনী ভাই-বোনকে একত্রে জড়ো করার প্রচেষ্টা, যারা একদম ‘প্রাথমিক’ পর্যায় থেকে দ্বীন শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব ও তাড়না অনুভব করবেন এবং তারই এক পর্যায়ে তারা দ্বীনের শিক্ষা ও গবেষণাকল্পে একটা প্রতিষ্ঠান গড়ে তোলার প্রয়োজন অনুভব করবেন। আমরা আপনাদের আনন্দের সাথে জানাচ্ছি যে,আল্লাহ্র অশেষ রহমতে, আমরা এধরনের একটা প্রতিষ্ঠানের রেজিষ্ট্রেশন করেছি যার নাম ‘INSTITUTE for COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT’।এর পেছনের মূল পরিকল্পনা হচ্ছে এই যে, আমাদের নিজস্ব একটা পরিসর থাকবে, যেখানে দ্বীন শিক্ষার অডিও/ভিডিও সামগ্রী সহ একটা লাইব্রেরী থাকবে – যা, মূল থেকে সরাসরি শুদ্ধ দ্বীনের শিক্ষালাভ করতে ইচ্ছুক, এমন যে কোন ভাই-বোনের জন্য উন্মুক্ত থাকবে ইনশা’আল্লাহ্! এছাড়াও আমরা এমন ‘ক্লাসের’ আয়োজন করবো, যেখানে বরেণ্য ও নির্বাচিত ‘স্কলার’ ও মেধাবী ‘দ্বীন শিক্ষার্থীদের’ আমরা আমন্ত্রণ জানাবো আমাদের সকলের মাঝে তাদের জ্ঞানের আলো বিতরণ করার জন্য – যারা তাদের জীবনের অধিকাংশ সময়ই দ্বীন শিক্ষা লাভ ও দান করতে ব্যয় করবেন – কেবল তাদের প্রভু আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টির কথা মনে রেখে, ইনশা’আল্লাহ্!
আমাদের এই পরিকল্পনা ও স্বপ্ন বাস্তবায়নের কাজে শামিল হতে চাইলে যোগাযোগ করুন। আল্লাহ্ যেন কেবল তাঁর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের উদ্দেশ্যে, তাঁর দ্বীনের কাজে লাগার আমাদের এই প্রচেষ্টা চালিয়ে যাবার তৌফিক দেন এবং আমাদের এই ক্ষুদ্র প্রচেষ্টা কবুল করেন।

Assalaatu Wa Assalaamu ‘Ala Rasulillah (SAW)!
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam, Assalaamu ‘Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu!
Allah (SWT), the Creator of the heavens and the earth, has made obligatory for all of us: to gain knowledge! Though all of us have got some sort of knowledge in some field(s) or other – what Allah (SWT) has asked us to enlighten us with, is primarily the knowledge about our “Deen”: about our existence in harmony with the nature and creation, about the purpose of our life and of course, about the Creator of everything that exists – our Lord Allah (SWT)! Muslim Scholars have understood it like this: The real knowledge is the knowledge of The Real, or, at least what leads to The Real – rest is just conjecture!
We, the people in the (so called) lands of Islam, grow up learning(!) the rituals and practices of Islam as the professional clergy teach us and are happy with that. Unfortunately almost all of what we know about Islam is wrong – or at least flawed. So much so that, if somehow a member of the 1st generation of Muslims from the 7th century Arabia could be invited to see our plight – he would have surely asked: “Which ‘Deen’ these people are followers of?”. Realization of this situation will make you lost and you will not know what to do and where to go to. Eventually it becomes an internal and personal crisis for you. You may start buying and collecting books, having the word “Islam” on it or in it! The road is long and spiral – with many stopovers. You may knock many doors and bang on many windows in pursuit of knowledge of “Deen” – but finally you will realize that, what all the groups and/or sources offer you, is a truncated form of knowledge at the best and totally innovated or distorted form of knowledge at the worst . Besides, no matter how much you try to ignore, the ‘insider’/‘outsider’ or the ‘us’/‘them’ kind of treatment and ‘feel’ can hardly be avoided. You have to be one of ‘them’ to learn from ‘them’ and that learning would definitely be something like looking at the world through ‘their’ eyes. The door of learning is not open for all – rather only the party [or group] members were welcome!
This situation demands the availability of knowledge of our Deen from the purest source. Firstly consider the following basic aspects about the Deen of Islam:
1. There has to be only ONE form of Islam, as far as the correct Aqeedah (or Creed) is concerned.
2. There is/was only ONE human being in the creation, who can be followed blindly and unquestionably by the Muslims. In other words, we can consider only ONE human being as infallible – he is Rasul (SAW).
3. You can not divide and sub-divide Ahlus Sunnah Wa al-Jam’aah [the ONE group who are on the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW), as stated by the Prophet (SAW) himself] in the name of parties or hizb.
Thus, one of our goals is to try to create a pool of “scholars” or “students of knowledge”, who would be equipped with knowledge of Deen from the purest source still available on the earth [like from Madeenah University or the likes] and then teach us the same unconditionally – irrespective of our backgrounds, social class or origins. Of course, we would have to free such “scholars” and/or “students of knowledge” from the shackles of “9-5 working cycles” of earning a living and as such we would have to create some fund, which would be adequate for the purpose.
We have consulted the point with leaders of various Islamic Groups and prominent individuals. Though some people got shaken up and said “YES” to such an idea, the groups who were really capable of materializing it did not bother much, possibly, because they were complacent that, they knew enough and probably, because they wanted to do such things, if at all, only for the people belonging to their own group and not for just any Muslim! So, here we are writing this appeal to you explaining things.
In the light of the ideas and realizations stated above, we started holding study circles – which ended up in 3 weekly sessions [one for girls/women] at 3 different places in Dhaka and 1 monthly session in Chittagong – Alhamdulillah! This was, you can say, a coalescing process if you like, to get some brothers and sisters who would feel the urge to learn the “Deen” from “scratches” and hence eventually would feel the need to establish an institute for study and research of “Deen”. We are glad to inform you that, by the grace of Allah (SWT), we have registered of one such ‘Institute’ named ‘INSTITUTE for COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT’. The idea is that, we should have a place of our own [be it rented] with a library with books and audio/video materials – accessible to all our brothers and sisters in Islam, who want to learn their “Deen” correctly and FIRSTHAND from scratches. Besides, we would have classes where we would invite “scholars” and sincere “students of knowledge” to deliver lectures and of course, we would try to create and support, a pool of such “scholars” and “students of knowledge” who could give most of the hours of their life in the service of their Lord, insha’Allah.
Please contact us if you are willing to be with us in our venture of acquiring knowledge – which is FARD for every Muslim and Muslimah! May Allah give us towfiq to serve His ‘Deen’ only to please Him and may Allah accept our efforts.
